About the Bird Cam

  • What: This website streams cameras of various birdboxes and nests from Mitchells House.
  • How: Using Milestone XProtect as the video engine and Axis cameras for the sensors.
  • Birdbox: There is some sort of bird living in the box for the past month that keeps putting sticks and flowers in there but isnt laying any eggs. I think its just roosting/hanging out.
  • Cardinal Cam: A cardinal decided to build a nest right next to my garage door. So naturally I put a camera on it. Unfortunately a crow attacked this next and got one of the babies. The other two seemed to escape and lived on the ground for awhile.
